On the first day of Fashion Week, French designer BCBG showed a lovely collection of pretty dresses perfect for dinner or cocktail parties. BCBG Max Azria is very popular among celebrities such as Ashlee Simpson, Sophia Bush, Ciara, Lucy Liu, Nicole Kidman and Sharon Stone, who all attended the show. The very light and breezy collection “etches the silhouette with luminosity using layers of transparencies” said the designer himself before adding that “hiding in the light you will find traditional tailoring and corsetry deconstructed to define a modern woman.” The feminine side of the collection was very well emphasized with pieces made from fabrics such as organza, tulle, silk and rayon. The well tailored corsets and fresh colored bubble dresses are part of a very simple, yet sophisticated and chic collection. And like the show’s soundtrack (Kate Nash music) the looks were modern, confident and very refined. BCBG on top of its art!
