High street fashion chain Wallis is bringing together some of the top names in fashion as well as a few celebrities to create their 2007 charity charm necklace. After the 2005 celebrity charm bracelet for Cancer Research success, Wallis decided to launch the silver rope charm necklace, whose sale will help research cancer in the U.K. Each of the six unique charms is designed by well-known designers (such as Christian Louboutin and Grayson Perry) and celebrities (such as Scarlett Johansson and Kate Moss). Contributors were asked to sketch their own charm, choose the material as well as give it a name.

The Cancer Research UK Charm Necklace will be retailing for £25 (of which £10 will go towards Cancer Research) and will be available at Wallis stores as well as online starting September 3rd. I believe that this charm necklace is a great way for people to show their support as well as raise money to research a disease that affects a lot of people. Note that only 25,000 necklaces are being produced, making this limited edition necklace a real signature piece.
