Calvin Klein “Steel” lineCalvin Klein is kicking off its 25th anniversary with the launch of “Steel”, a new range of men underwear. The Blood Diamond star Djimon Hounsou is the new face of the Steel line. “We are energized by the prospect of working with a talent such as Djimon Hounsou,” said Bob Mazzoli, chief creative officer of Calvin Klein Underwear. “Together we will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Calvin Klein Underwear and yet another ground-breaking international product launch” Hounsou is the ninth man to be featured in a Calvin Klein Underwear campaign after footballer Freddie Ljungberg, actor Mark Wahlberg, and U.S. Olympic pole vaulter Tom Hintanhaus. His Steel torso will be seen in magazines and billboards starting September. Photographer Peter Lindbergh shot the ads in the Palm Springs desert.


Tomorrow all day long, celebrate the launch at Bloomingdale’s (Beverly Center, CA and 59th street in NYC)with cocktails, appetizers and DJ spins. Plus, you get to take your picture with a Calvin Klein model. Hot hot hot.

    My friend that lives in England got her photo taken at Selfridge’s in the Steel lounge. Hope that Bloomingdale’s does something as good.
